I wonder if you can figure out what this picture is?
The old school way to make documents is still a very active practice for many authors today!
There is just something about the font when you use an old typewriter that makes your stories come alive. I bring this up because with the use of computers to create letters, posts, and articles you loose the message the writer is trying to
capture your attention with. Maybe it’s just me but the feel (look) is just cool and captivating that delivers the story or letter with emotion. I wrote the other day about the number 1 skill for today’s online business person would be the art of creative writing. Writing lets say and email to your subscribes is the basic method to have those readers feel what it is your are trying to explain in type. Yet most people miss the mark with their readers because they (the writer) needs to write from a readers point of view.
I know what it is I am writing but do your readers understand what it is or are you using fancy word to impress. I’ve been doing this for some time and I always have a dictionary handy to keep my spelling in check. Now the other aspects of the English language are enough to make one mad (crazy) because there’s a rule for everything and then some.
I say write the best you can, write with emotion to capture your readers curiosity because at the end of the day what you mean doesn’t always end up what you meant. Get to the point with some fluff like: Buy my delicious baked ham sandwich on a toasted Italian crusty bun with aged Swiss for only $2.97 + Free endless potato chips!
Something like that, now you can smell the baked ham, creamy Swiss and the taste from the salty chips paints a picture in your minds eye and taste buds, Right?
PS. I like to know your thoughts and suggestions please a reply and I will answer.
