I can’t believe it’s been a week already but time flies when you worry about everything, Right?
Wrong, I’m not saying we need to run around with a smile on our face even when faced with danger, that’s goofy. Honestly though no one likes a sour puss who bitches when the wind blows. I bet we all know someone like that at work or maybe we have been there ourselves. I know I was and even to this day my emotions over run my thoughts.
Remember last week’s topic “Do You Have Trouble Being You” where I briefly talked about different roles or hats we need to play.
I know most of you have read self-help books to some degree or started one.. I regret acting like a bone-head during my middle-high school year because at some point in your life the unrelated stuff that you will never use, is now something you wish you knew.
I know I’m babbling so here I go. Theses books and webinars I have attended or even some of you might have at some point might keep hearing some of the same structure in those events.
Make a Plan, Schedule that Plan, and take Action on that Plan.
The more you do these simple actions the more they become habit. Like when you need to change hats from work to whats for dinner mom. Well before I get ahead of myself. Ask Yourself:
- Self, what do I do with my free time?
- Self, Do I sit there thinking of what to do with my free time when I have the free time?
- Self, Does my plan include learning something new every day?
- Self, With all this stuff Rob is talking about did or do I have it written down anywhere. A calendar, back of my over due bill, napkin, or my hand?
If you think I am insane and laughing now, you are not alone because everyone from Dale Carnegie to Zig Ziegler talk about writing thing down, make an action plan not necessarily in-stone but on a calendar.
The next issue I would like to answer some of the readers question as it pertains to today’s subject.
We can continue to discuss this subject on the website where I urge you to post your Q&A there. Click the find out more below.
